RED HYBRID- BEST IN SHOW Terry Raynor The names Henry of Pelham, Sanson and Sandbanks are all synonymous with having mastered the art and science of making high quality, well balanced Baco Noir wines.  In this competition another winery has grasped this art and has emerged as a contender to these perennial favourites.  Congratulations to Erie Shore Vineyard for their 2008 Reserve Baco Noir.  This Gold Medal wine is very dark and displayed fully ripe richness with elements of earthiness, bacon, black berry fruits, spice, hints of vanilla, with modest oak and very well balanced controlled acidity.
