Night Harvest Martini

Beyond after-dinner sipping, icewine is also a brilliant cocktail ingredient. Here, it’s cut with vodka, stirred until bracingly cold, and served with a pair of juicy grapes. The name comes from the fact that the frozen grapes for icewine are mostly picked at night, when temperatures are coldest.

RecipeTry this cocktail alongside a cheesy appetizer
1 oz vodka, chilled
¾  oz Vidal icewine, chilled
2 green grapes on a cocktail pin to garnish


1. Chill a martini glass in freezer for at least 15 minutes.
2. Pour vodka and icewine into a mixing glass. Fill halfway with ice. Stir for 45 seconds. Strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with grapes.

This is our 2025 Beaujolais Nouveau at  11 days post harvest!  So, quite, quite young.  It is going to be outstanding!  We intend to release it in December.  It will make an excellent gift for your wine-officiando, but more importantly it will make an absolutely lovely Christmas wine to share.  Cheers!

​This Baco Noir has intense, dark black berry, black cherry and currant flavours. It is deep, inky purple in colour, and has rich, full flavours, berry aromas and a soft, smooth, fruity finish. 
It is matched with red meats, especially lamb and ham, game birds, rich pastas, firm cheeses and rich, dark chocolate desserts.

The Off Dry Riesling is now sold out, but not to worry, we will have a new vintage soon.  It was on special this month, and the uptake was wonderful!  Thank you!
